First Time Sign in to GCC High Virtual Desktop

This is a how-to document for signing in to AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop) with your Dudek GCC High secure enclave account (dudek-us.com)

[First initial last name]@dudek-us.com login required, example for John Test: jtest@dudek-us.com
You must have been granted permission to access resources by going through CUI training and having an onboarding ticket be process for you.

Click on the Start button and search for the Windows App and click Open to open the app.

[ℹ] If this is your first time opening the Windows App, you will be auto logged into your dudek.com account. to gain access to the Azure GCC Virtual Desktop, you will need to switch accounts to your GCC Dudek (dudek-us.com) account by clicking your initials or icon at the top right and choose to sign in with another account. First time logins will require multifactor (2fa) enrollment
Enter your Dudek (dudek-us.com) GCC High temporary credentials and you will be prompted to change your password and enroll in MFA

[ℹ] GCC has higher security requirements and technology in place to detect commonly used passwords, kindly follow the below guidance on password requirements, reach out to service desk for assistance if needed [ℹ]
If you haven’t enrolled in MFA yet, you will be asked to enroll into MFA for the GCC High environment

Click next to start MFA enrollment
Ensure you have Microsoft Authenticator on your phone and click next
Review and click Next
When you see the image of the QR code, open authenticator on your mobile device and click the scan QWR button
Scan the QR code and click next after it reports activation successful
A test authentication will be initiated to verify a good setup
Click next to start phone verification sequence
Enter phone number and click next
Accept phone call and enter # to verify than click next

Once you have successfully logged in, you will see your assigned host(s) and host pool(s). (you should only have 1, some users may have more depending on job roles.

GIS users will have GIS GCC High Virtual Desktop
Project managers and project support staff will have GCC High Virtual Desktop Staff

Click Connect on your assigned pool to launch your VDI Session
You will be prompted to authenticate again.

Enter your Credentials and click ok
After connecting you will know you are in the environment when the background screen is the below:
