How to Configure Rules for a Shared Mailbox
Scenario:
Shared mailboxes are often used as a collaboration tool between multiple users. To help manage the flow of emails, rules are used to sort mail as they hit the inbox.
This article will demonstrate how to configure rules for a Shared Mailbox.
Solution:
- First ensure the user has access to the Shared mailbox and has the necessary permissions.
- Next, open any browser and navigate to outlook.com and sign in with your dudek account, this will take you to your Online Mailbox.
- Next click on the profile icon in the upper right-hand corner and click Open another mailbox
- In the popup, enter the full email address of the Shared mailbox, this will open the Share mailbox inbox.
- From here, click on the gear in the upper right-hand corner for Settings, then go to Mail -> Rules
- Next, click + Add new rule and configure a rule as needed.
