Dropbox Business Account Capture
Summary:
The purpose of this KB is to describe what happens to a user's dropbox account when we enable Account Capture from Dropbox Business. If a user has created a dropbox account using an @dudek.com email address, Dropbox Business will claim the account and they will be provided with options to manage their data.
Workflow diagram:

When a dropbox account that uses a login from an @dudek.com account is Captured, we will allow the user 2 options:
- They can change the email address associated with the account to a non dudek account and keep their dropbox account as a personal account.
- User can opt to upgrade the account to Business or Enterprise and join the team.
What Happens When the Account is Captured?
When Account Capture is performed the following happens on the user's end:
- Pauses syncing on personal accounts using emails from @dudek.com
- Users are "locked out" until they either join our business account or change the email on their account to a personal one.
- Impacts all users across entire domain.
- User's decision will impact license use.
